How do I become a Pharmacy Tech in California?
Requirements
1. Graduate from High School
2. Obtain Approved Training or National Accreditation
3. Apply to the California Board of Drug store for a license – www.pharmacy.ca.gov
Authorized Training
Can consist of any of the following;-LRB- .- Associate Degree in Drug Store Innovation, or
– Minimum 240 hours of completed coursework, or
– Finished from a program accredited by the ASHP or the ACPE
National Accreditation
– National Certification is not essential in California
– If you currently have National Certification then you do not require to complete any further training in order to acquire your license
– National Certification can be gotten by sitting either the PTCB or ExCPT examination
