The book has to do with Louie, the pharmacist who gets fired from every drug store task. Hes implicated of lying, taking, unwanted sexual advances, rebuking a consumer, insubordination, getting kickbacks, and others. They are all separated events with extenuating situations, combined with a string of misfortune and ungodly hypocrites in authority.
The turbulent drug store profession lastly overtakes Louie, and nobody wants to offer him another possibility or a break. Louie winds up a washed-up pharmacist, and hes prepared to quit his battle, up until something insane takes place in the last round.
